    Congratulations!
    Could you please tell me what the main difference between the lite and the full version is?
    Also, why can’t I find the newest talks such as, for instance: ‘Kakenya Ntaiya: A girl who demanded school’?

    1. For the TED and audiobooks, besides AD, there is no difference
      between the lite and the full version.

      But, in the case you play your files(your favorite songs,
      movies, or dramas) you uploaded from your PC,
      subtitles would be displayed upto 100 seconds only in the lite version.
      and AD would be displayed in lite version.

      For the TED video,
      you can find talks by two ways from the app.
      First, you can browse talks by translation.
      In this case, talks which translation in your language is not ready yet,
      will not be displayed in the table.
      (I guess this is the case you faced.)

      And secondly you can search talks by keyword.
      In this case, you should find all talks.

      So, if you can’t find talks from translation page,
      you can go for search with keyword.
      In your case, you may use ‘Kakenya’ as keyword,
      talks you want should be there, but without translation
      in your lnguage.
      (Even if you download talks from search, if translation
      is available, it will be downloaded together automatically.)

      But later on, whenever translation in your language gets ready,
      you can find it and download it from subtitle-setup menu.
      (TED detail page -> subtitle-setup -> Get more Subtitles…)

    I’ve been using LD on my iPad and I’d like to upload my own files. I have a Mac Air and I just can’t figure out how to do it.

    1. Hello, please refer to the followings.

      1. ftp

      You can use ftp utilities, such as FileZilla.
      Once you start any ftp program from your Mac, you can connect to ListeningDrill
      using ftp address provided from

      second tab (library) of the APP -> upload files from PC …

      as default, you can use ftp without user information(ie. anonymous access),
      or you can always enable and modify user and password information as you want them.

      2. iTunes Sharing

      1) APP : go to the second tab (library) of the APP.
      2) APP : execute the second menu (upload files from iTunes sharing …) from the list
      3) PC : following instructions described in the APP.
      4) APP : After copying all files accroding to the instructions, press ‘Import’ button

      Then the page automatically go back to the previous page,
      and you will see files you just uploaded.

      Note 1.
      File extension(media file) must be one of mp4, mov, mpv or 3gp.

      Files with all other extentions will be ignored by the app,
      and will not be seen from the app, even if you upload files properly.

      In the case of subtitle file,
      currently the APP recognize .lrc , .srt and .smi files only.

      Note 2.
      If names of both media file and subtitle files are same, then both will be
      bonded automatically when you play the media file.

      Or you can assign whatever subtitle file to the media file by executing
      subtitle menu which pops on when you touch the media name from the list.

      Note 3.
      If you use MS window PC, you can just easily copy files using window explorer as following.

      1) APP : go to the second tab (library) of the APP.
      2) APP : execute the first menu (upload files from PC …) from the list
      3) PC : Now, open the Windows File Explorer from the PC
      which has files for upload (both .mp4 and subtitle file)
      (PC and iPhone must be connected in same wireless LAN.)
      4) PC : Type the address (frp://……) shown from the APP onto the address
      bar of the Windows Explorer.
      5) PC : Copy files(.mp4 and subtitle file) to the Windows File Explorer.
      6) APP : Now from the APP, Once you go back to the previous window,
      you will see the files name you just uploaded.

      In the case of Mac, you can try similar procedure though,
      since Mac does not allow connection of writable network disk by default,
      you will need some utility accordingly to have ‘write controllability’.

      ted.com 서비스가 전면 개편되며 기존의 인터페이스에 문제가 발생하였습니다.
      오늘 새벽 문제를 인식하였으며, 관련 Fix는 오늘 중 완료하여 앱스토어에
      업데이트 올릴 예정입니다.
      앱스토어 심사 기간까지 고려하면 최대 1주 정도 후에 업데이트를
      다운 받으실 수 있으리라 예상됩니다.

      2. 갤럭시라면…
        안드로이드 버전을 이야기하시는 것으로 생각됩니다.
        안드로이드 버전은 현재 준비 중으로,
        거의 완료되었으며, 현재 계획으로는 5월초 릴리즈 예정입니다.
        참고로 안드로이드 버전은 유료 버전은 없고, 모든 기능이 무료로 제공됩니다.

  7. 유료어플 결제했습니다 그리고 Netdrive설치해서 mp3,4 파일들을 옮겼는데 구간반복도 안될뿐더러 구간이동도 안되더군요. 또한 파일을 옮겼을 때도 “Can’t recognize”라고 뜨더라구요 분명히 mp3,4파일들입니다 왜그런거에요

      “Can’t recognize”라면 아예 업로드한 파일을 찾아서 재생할 수가 없을텐데요.
      자막과 함께 재생은 되는데, 구간반복이나 구간이동은 안되는 것인지요 ?
      엡에서 업로드한 파일 확장자를 확인하고 .mp3 나 .mp4가 아니면 무시해 버립니다.
      혹 업로드한 파일의 확장자가 어찌되는지요 ?

  10. 파일을 업로드 시켜서 재생을 되는데요 자막을 추가해서 보려고만 하면 어플이 종료가 되요. 저번에는 아예 어플이 켜지지도 않아서 삭제하고 다시 다운받았어요. 지금은 재생은 되는데 자막하고 같이 보면은 안되네요… 그리고 혹시 가로 화면 보기로 했을때 그화면 고정할 수 있는 기능은 없나요? 또, 보던 동영상을 나중에 볼 때 다시 처음부터 재생이 되는데 resume 기능이 없나요?

    1. 안녕하세요 ? 불편을 드려 죄송합니다.
      자막이 연결되었을 때 앱이 강제 종료 된다면 대부분 앱에서 해당 자막을 제대로 처리하지 못하는 경우입니다…
      자막 파일들이 일반 텍스트 편집기로 편집이 가능한 파일들이라 여러 변형이 생길 수 있고, 앱에서 가능한 경우들을 모두 커버하려 하나 아직도 부족한 부분이 있습니다. 아마 사용하신 자막 파일에도 아직 앱에서 처리하지 못하는 부분이 있을 것으로 생각됩니다. 해당 파일을 메일로 보내주시면 다음 버전에서 해당 형태의 파일도 지원 가능하게 수정하도록 하겠습니다. (아울러 현재 문제를 피할 수 있는 방법이 있는지도 살펴보겠습니다.)

      현재 가로보기 화면 고정 옵션은 없습니다. 이후 버전에 추가를 고려하도록 하겠습니다.

      업로드된 파일들은 아래와 같이 관리됩니다.
      – 하나의 파일은 복수개의 재생 목록에 추가 될 수 있습니다.
      – 동일 파일이라도 각각의 재생목록에서 각기 다른 재생 정보(마지막 재생 시간)를 가지고 있습니다.
      다시 재생시 해당 부분부터 다시 재생(resume)됩니다.
      – 단 ‘PC 에서 업로드된 파일들’에서 재생 시에는 모든 파일들은 항상 무조건 처음부터 재생됩니다.

      아마 ‘PC 에서 업로드된 파일들’에서 재생을 하고 계신듯 싶습니다…

    1. It could be network issue at the moment you tried downloading.
      Could you try it again ?
      Do you keep having same issue whenever you try downloading ?
      If it does, please mail me with some more details, so I can reproduce and check the issue here.

  12. Hi there,I am now using listeningdrill on my iPhone. I encountered audiobook download problem, it keep saying that”Please try again! Error during downloading “xxxxxx” “. It onlys happens when I try to download audiobook, not TED talks,not storynory,only audio book. Please help.

      If you live in China, I’m afraid that access to the audiobook server may be baned there under some ISP environment,
      which I can’t help…

      Please check if you can access following site,

      http://archive.org/

      You sould be able to access it to download audiobooks…

  13. 안녕하세요 메일도 드렸는데 안간거같아서요.
    아이폰5s에서 설치하고 이후 아이폰6+에서 백업해서 실행했을때 영화가 자막과 함께 실행되었거든요. 이후 맘에들어 유료버전구매후 아이폰6+에서 똑같은 파일을 집어넣었는데 실행시키면 그냥 꺼져버립니다.
    앱을다시 깔아도봤지만 계속 TED외에는 제가 삽입한 영화는 꺼지고요.
    아이폰5s에서는 됐던 영화와 자막srt이라 문제는 없는거같은데 최적화가 안되서 그런건가요?
    그리고 마지막으로 제가 구매한 주된이유가 녹음이 되기때문입니다.
    녹음한 전체내용들을 모아주는 기능은 없는건지요?

      불편을 드려 죄송합니다.
      자막 파일들이 일반 텍스트 파일들이라 임의 편집이 가능하여 많은 작은 변화들이 가능하며
      말씀하신대로 아직 자막 파싱에 최적화가 안된 부분들이 있어 특정 자막 파싱에서
      문제가 생길 수도 있습니다.
      해당 자막을 메일(insubae@neointro.com)으로 보내주시면 문제를 파악하여
      다음 버전에 적용은 물론 혹 현재 버전에서도 문제를 피할 수 있는 방법이 있는지 살펴보겠습니다.

      현재 녹음된 내용은 저장되지 않고 바로 사라지게 되어 있습니다.
      (듣고 따라하는 형태이며, 따라할 때 당시만 따라한 부분만 일시 저장되는 형태입니다.)

  14. 저는 아이폰 6 사용자입니다.
    얼마전까지 매우 유용하게 사용하고 있었는데 오늘 동영상을 틀어보니 소리 조금나다가 바로 앱이 종료되어 이렇게 글을 올립니다.
    가장 좋아하는 어플이라 꼭 고쳐졌으면 하네요
    제가 취한 조치는 어플을 계속 다시 실행해보았고 삭제했다가 다시깔기도 하였고 공장초기화까지했는데 실행이 되질 않습니다.
    신속히 고쳐졌으면 합니다.
